[00:00:00] Speaker A: Sam. Okay everybody, and welcome back to the Camera Life podcast. This is the random photography show and it is Monday, the 18th of May, and we are coming to you live from the Australias. And I'm joined tonight by fellow co host and fellow Australian Jim. G', day, Jim. How are you mate? [00:00:46] Speaker B: Well, thanks, Greg. How are you? [00:00:48] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm doing okay. I'm doing okay. [00:00:50] Speaker B: Hey Greg, I, I just. Before we get too deep in, I need to point something out. [00:00:53] Speaker A: What's that? [00:00:54] Speaker B: We were on time. [00:00:56] Speaker A: We were. [00:00:57] Speaker B: I don't want to point any fingers, but it's just you and I and we were on time. [00:01:03] Speaker A: We were. [00:01:04] Speaker B: So I don't know what the problem could be while we're always. [00:01:08] Speaker A: Doesn't add up, does it? No. So I, I guess what you're hinting at is whenever Castle shows up, something inevitably goes wrong. [00:01:17] Speaker B: Look, I didn't say that. [00:01:18] Speaker A: But you know, maybe the subtext possible. Well, I don't know. Let us know in the chat whether you think Justin is responsible for our ill fortune. And late starts to the Camera Life podcast. But speaking of the Camera Life podcast. Yes, we are joined by Jim. Justin hopes to drop in at some stage a bit later in the show. He's, he's still on his travels so hopefully we'll, we'll get an appearance from him. But look, this is the Camera Life podcast. We. Tonight we are not going to do your images. I just want to get that out of the front, out of the way up front because we've had a few technical issues that we're still sort of trying to work out. Justin's away. I'm mid studio change. Well, Jim's just Jim. So we'll catch up on images next week when we have a better contingent of folks helping us. But look, we do this every Monday night. We go live and we talk about photography news. We look at your images in most occasions and we also look at other things like camera releases, we talk about what we've been up to, product launches. All that sort of stuff gets covered in the random photography show. So that's Every Monday evening, 7.30pm Australian Eastern Standard Time. Plus we also go live gym. Every Thursday morning at 9am Australian Eastern Standard Time, we interview an amazing and talented photographer, whether they be an Australian photographer or an international guest. And we, we take a long, long, slow walk through their career and their journey and get to find out what makes them tick. So the best thing you can do to make sure that you don't miss an episode of the Camera Life podcast is first subscribe. It's the easiest way. It costs you nothing. It's just one little button. However, if you want to get notifications of every upcoming episode of the Camera Life podcast in your time zone, make sure you hit the bell icon and that way you'll get advanced notice in your time zone when we're going live next. But that's. That's that out of the way. [00:03:12] Speaker B: Yeah. Got some people in the chat, Greg. [00:03:15] Speaker A: We do. Do you want to say hello to some people? [00:03:17] Speaker B: Yeah, we've got. I think. I think it's Philip Johnson. [00:03:20] Speaker A: It is. [00:03:20] Speaker B: With a. With a different at. [00:03:23] Speaker A: Yeah. I don't know what it does. That weird thing. [00:03:27] Speaker B: Evening, all. Is Justin Cross? Not. [00:03:31] Speaker A: Not especially. Have you heard something? Are we in trouble? [00:03:37] Speaker B: Hi, Rodney. Lisa Leach says hello. Greg and Jim, what excitement do we have tonight? We've got lots. Lisa, let me at the back of the. I think there's lots of news. Greg said so. [00:03:48] Speaker A: Lots of news. [00:03:49] Speaker B: Yeah, but no images. We're sorry. So. [00:03:51] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:03:53] Speaker B: Tim type man. Evening, all. The show is getting expensive each time I watch it gives me time to look at the Japanese ebay. Last week it cost me a 4x5 camera, a lens and film back. [00:04:05] Speaker A: We are so sorry. We are so sorry for that. [00:04:08] Speaker B: We're not. Yeah, it's good. [00:04:12] Speaker A: We could be all care and no responsibility though, right? Yeah, yeah, I think that's fine. [00:04:18] Speaker B: John Pickett. Hi, all. Hi, John. [00:04:20] Speaker A: G', day, John. [00:04:21] Speaker B: Gregg Carrick. But Jay brings the music. He does bring the music. We don't have any of the fancy buttons, so. Yeah, there'll be no. [00:04:31] Speaker A: Yeah, she took them with him. He. He was. He distrusted us that much that he took the buttons with him. [00:04:40] Speaker B: Elaine is here. She says, greg, you're on the wrong side. [00:04:42] Speaker A: I know, I'm sorry. [00:04:44] Speaker B: We can probably change that. Nick's here. Hey, Nick. And on the photo, there is a cross. [00:04:53] Speaker A: Oh, the thumbnail. [00:04:55] Speaker B: Yeah. Probably because he's not here, I think. [00:04:57] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:05:00] Speaker B: That makes more sense. [00:05:01] Speaker A: It does make sense. Yeah. But I don't think I've ever seen Justin Cross ever. I mean, you've known him a lot longer. Do you ever see the J Dog get. Get rolled up? [00:05:11] Speaker B: No, I don't think I have, actually. I've been around him a lot too, Even, you know, he got stung by a bee. That's probably as cross as he's got, I reckon. [00:05:20] Speaker A: Oh, that's what it took to bring him down. [00:05:23] Speaker B: He wasn't really that cross. He was just a little bit sad. [00:05:27] Speaker A: Oh, what a terrible character. Trait. Doesn't it make you sick? Well, let's. Maybe we should dive into. To everything that we've got tonight. And just a recap for people. You know, there's. In the last week. Who's this? Who's. Someone's joining the studio. [00:05:46] Speaker B: It says, where am I? But we don't know because it's just black. [00:05:49] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:05:51] Speaker B: So I'm guessing it's just. [00:05:52] Speaker A: Oh, there he is. [00:05:54] Speaker B: At the pub, maybe. [00:05:58] Speaker C: Hey, boss, Is this working? [00:06:01] Speaker A: Yep. [00:06:01] Speaker B: Yeah, we can see you now. [00:06:03] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:06:04] Speaker C: Hello. Sorry, I don't have a lot of service. I'm way up north in Bali. [00:06:13] Speaker B: We can't tell. [00:06:14] Speaker C: But I heard you guys were talking about. So I needed to pop in. [00:06:20] Speaker A: Well, we're just having a debate as to whether either of us have ever seen you cross. And neither of us, other than Jim's example of you being stung by a bee, which was more a sadness than a rage, I don't think either of us have ever seen you cross. [00:06:33] Speaker C: Oh, it's pretty rare. But that. Be. [00:06:37] Speaker B: That. [00:06:37] Speaker C: That be. Got me. I just want to pop in to tell everyone. It is. It's tricky. [00:06:46] Speaker A: Hey, look at the. [00:06:46] Speaker C: Look at my background. Look at this. [00:06:48] Speaker A: Oh, get stuffed. [00:06:50] Speaker C: Look at. [00:06:51] Speaker B: Pretty fancy. [00:06:52] Speaker A: Wow. Yeah. So where are you. [00:06:54] Speaker B: When do we. When do we get budget to just do podcasts on location? [00:07:00] Speaker C: Well, as soon as we get our first sponsor. Our first actual. [00:07:05] Speaker B: We've got one. We've got a sponsor. [00:07:08] Speaker C: Fujifilm. No, no, no. [00:07:11] Speaker A: I'm working on it. [00:07:11] Speaker C: A different one. Like a proper, proper one. The camera brand someone. [00:07:15] Speaker B: Okay. All right. [00:07:17] Speaker C: I'm being told to turn my shot. Hang on. Does that work? No, that's much worse. [00:07:22] Speaker B: No. You good before. [00:07:23] Speaker A: No, you're okay. [00:07:24] Speaker C: This will have to do. [00:07:27] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:07:27] Speaker C: So I'm. I'm in. Ton. We went scuba diving today. First time ever. [00:07:32] Speaker B: It's tricky. [00:07:34] Speaker C: Very, very tricky. I freaked out a couple of times in the pool. [00:07:39] Speaker B: What? [00:07:39] Speaker C: Oh, I. I don't know. I don't know. Like, there's. So I was at a depth of.5 meters and I was like, I gotta get out of here. [00:07:53] Speaker B: Half a meter? [00:07:54] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah. We were sitting. Like I was sitting on. Kneeling down in the kids pool pretty much. [00:08:01] Speaker A: Oh, dear. [00:08:02] Speaker C: And I had a little. A little moment. But then we pushed on and we're halfway through our course. So we end up. We went down to 10 meters and we've done all the things and practice rescuing each other that you sort of do and stuff. So, yeah, we're making progress. [00:08:16] Speaker A: That's really cool. Yeah. [00:08:17] Speaker C: Saw an eel Saw what else? We see some crazy fish or. We saw a proper. What are they called? Finding Nemo Fish. [00:08:27] Speaker B: Clownfish. [00:08:28] Speaker C: What are they called? [00:08:29] Speaker A: Clownfish. Yeah. Yep. [00:08:30] Speaker C: In one of those anemone. An enemy things, you know, in the plant. Living in the plant. Just popping in and out or bristling. It was. [00:08:39] Speaker B: Yeah, that was it Lost. [00:08:42] Speaker C: I didn't ask. I was just trying not to freak out. If it talked back to me, I probably would have freaked out. [00:08:50] Speaker A: So this. This was the first time you've done scuba, but have you ever done snorkeling before? Yes. [00:08:55] Speaker C: Yep. Plenty. Not plenty, but like five or six times and, you know, with turtles and things like that. And always really enjoyed it, which is why we thought this is where the shot. But it is. It's different snorkeling. You're like, you know, you're coming back up soon. Whereas here the idea is not to come back up, and it's just trying to trick your brain into being like, that's cool. It's fine. [00:09:18] Speaker B: We're all right Breathing. Yeah. Okay. [00:09:20] Speaker A: Yeah. And how did you want it? Did she need. [00:09:24] Speaker C: Way better. She need way better. [00:09:27] Speaker A: Way better. Did she take your camera? [00:09:32] Speaker B: The. [00:09:33] Speaker A: The tough. The om. Tough camera. [00:09:38] Speaker B: Oh, he's very happy right now. [00:09:40] Speaker A: He's very happy. See, he's never angry. You just frozen. Sorry, boss. All right. [00:09:45] Speaker B: You're very happy when you froze. It's like Greg last week. [00:09:48] Speaker C: Am I back now? [00:09:49] Speaker A: You are now. Yeah. [00:09:51] Speaker C: Okay. She didn't freak out, I don't think at all. Yeah, she did. It didn't bother her. [00:09:56] Speaker A: So. Nice. And did you get. Did you take the camera down to the. The Tough seven? [00:10:02] Speaker C: No, not today. But we. The Tough seven. The Tough seven is going to go down tomorrow, not today. We just were, like, just trying to figure out how to do everything. There's so much bits of equipment. They all suck. They're on the way all the time. So, yeah, tomorrow. Tomorrow Elaine will take the TG7 and I'll take the GoPro. [00:10:25] Speaker B: Oh, nice. [00:10:29] Speaker C: Now, what else did I. So I can't stay on for long because obviously the Internet here is. Is not great. I'm on data. It's probably costing a fortune, but what was I gonna say? Oh, there's heaps of people that have sent in photos for your images. So I'm sorry, everybody, that we can't. We won't be able to bring them up because they're all in my email and Greg doesn't have a second monitor at the moment. And, yeah, it couldn't happen, unfortunately. We'll do it next week and I don't. Yeah, and I've got a video too from Greg Carrick and I don't know if. I guess we won't be able to do that either. I could send it to Jim and see, but [00:11:07] Speaker A: we can try. It's up to you. We can wait. [00:11:12] Speaker C: Well, I'll forward it to Jim anyway and see if it. If it works. But yeah, otherwise there's next week. [00:11:17] Speaker B: Yep. [00:11:19] Speaker C: How are you? [00:11:20] Speaker B: We're good when we're not in Bali, but that's okay. Yeah. [00:11:25] Speaker C: Okay. [00:11:26] Speaker A: You're not sitting by a bay drinking beers, that's for sure. [00:11:30] Speaker C: Let me just frame this up a bit better then. [00:11:35] Speaker B: It definitely hasn't been raining and miserable here. [00:11:40] Speaker C: Oh, is it being bad? [00:11:42] Speaker B: It's been really good. And then I think. What, yesterday and. Yeah, yesterday night poured in vinegar. [00:11:48] Speaker A: Today was very gray and dull, which was. Yeah. But late last week was amazing. [00:11:54] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, it's been good otherwise. [00:11:56] Speaker A: It's been good. It's been good. [00:11:58] Speaker C: How's the office fit out going, Greg? [00:12:01] Speaker A: Yeah, the office fit out is going really well. Still waiting for the desk, which is kind of holding everything up. So both Sash and I are getting matching desks, but pretty much everything else is set up, which is. Which is cool. Yeah, we got some new stereo speakers which sound amazing, for our turntable. [00:12:21] Speaker C: Oh, turntable. [00:12:23] Speaker A: Yeah, we got. Yeah, well, we've had one for ages, but we just haven't used it because it was sort of in an inaccessible spot and so now it's. It's going to live in the studio. So when we're working here, we can just put on vinyl and. Yeah, just enjoy. Yeah, so, yeah, that's awesome. And I've got like a cupboard just for my, like my camera bags and then the top couple of shelves are for my camera gear. It's just really nice to have everything away in a safe space. So. [00:12:48] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:12:49] Speaker A: Yeah, loving it. Really loving it. And cool. [00:12:55] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:12:55] Speaker A: So we're almost done with the Renault, which is good. We just got a couple of things to fix outside, but then we're done. Yep. Sweet. Yeah, it is sweet. [00:13:09] Speaker C: All right. Anything else that. That I need to know before I go? Anything else exciting happening in. In the world of photography? What do I missed anything? [00:13:17] Speaker A: Three cameras got launched last week, so we've got an offering from Sony. [00:13:22] Speaker B: I saw those. [00:13:23] Speaker A: Yeah. An offering from Canon bringing the challenge to Nikon and then also a Lumix camera that's bringing the challenge to Fujifilm. So we're going to cover all of those Offshore I saw and a ton, a crap ton of lenses out of China. Stepping up. [00:13:41] Speaker C: The lens avalanche has not stopped. [00:13:44] Speaker A: It has no 15 lenses. It's really interesting. And now brands like Laowa are actually delivering autofocus powered lenses for non RF mount, obviously. So yeah, there's lots of brands bringing new glass which is, which is great because it, you know, and often brands like Lauer and Taipok and places like that, they, they kind of fill some of those gaps that we have in a traditional lens lineup. You know, they'll do, you know, tilt shift lenses and the probe lenses and ultra, ultra wide probe lenses. Yeah, stuff. Yeah. Yep, yep. Actually they just, they just dropped another. I think it was Lauer just dropped another new probe lens. This one's a zoom, I think from memory. So yeah, there's heaps going on. Heaps going on. And of course there was a big rumor. We'll cover this in more detail in the news. But just as a recap, there's a. Also a rumor that Nikon's currently up for sale and that because the financials saw that dropped. Yeah. Yep. So I think before long, which is [00:14:51] Speaker C: interesting because they recently acquired Red. [00:14:55] Speaker A: Yeah. Could you imagine a Fuji camera in Jim's giant hands? [00:15:03] Speaker C: The gfx. [00:15:05] Speaker A: Well, yeah, that would fit. Yeah. I know a guy. I'll sort you out, Jim. If Nikon go under and you have to just give up, you know, you gave it a good shot, you know, you tried. Yeah. We'll get you on defeat. [00:15:18] Speaker B: If they go under, I think I'll just keep my Z8s. Feel like they'll be pretty good for a while. [00:15:24] Speaker A: Yeah, maybe. Maybe. But. Yeah, but other than that. Yeah, Releases went to another alpaca event on Friday night. We've lost him. [00:15:40] Speaker C: All right. It's. It's sketchy so I'll go [00:15:45] Speaker A: you there. Hey, see you later. [00:15:47] Speaker D: Hi everyone. [00:15:49] Speaker B: Hello. [00:15:50] Speaker A: Hey. How is your scuba diving? [00:15:54] Speaker C: And my friends, my scuba friends. [00:15:57] Speaker B: Hey. [00:15:58] Speaker A: Nice. Now you can say you've got scuba friends. [00:16:03] Speaker C: Yeah, I don't think they have scuba friends too. They asked how your diving was. [00:16:08] Speaker D: I'm pretty tired from it. But it went well. [00:16:10] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:16:11] Speaker D: I think they make you more scared to do it. [00:16:15] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:16:16] Speaker D: Then it actually feels when you're under. I might be a bit laggy. [00:16:21] Speaker B: It's very laggy you would find on there. [00:16:24] Speaker A: Yeah. I guess. I want you to take it seriously. Yeah. [00:16:29] Speaker D: Yeah. They probably don't want you to die. [00:16:33] Speaker B: That makes sense. Yeah. [00:16:34] Speaker A: Not good for Google reviews. No, definitely not. [00:16:40] Speaker D: But I. Yeah, I think it put more fear in me than I had prior to doing it because they. Maybe the better way to describe is the skills in the pool was less intuitive than what it is when you're in the ocean. So it was like, I'm never going [00:16:56] Speaker B: to get this right. [00:16:57] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:16:58] Speaker D: Anyway, I'm going to take my camera out tomorrow, so. [00:17:02] Speaker A: Yeah, nice. [00:17:04] Speaker B: Maybe making sense. I mean, next week. [00:17:07] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:17:10] Speaker D: Pardon? Oh, next week. New Zealand photos to send in that I don't know how to get off the iPad. [00:17:17] Speaker C: Justin, we'll figure it out. We'll figure it out. [00:17:22] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, exactly. [00:17:25] Speaker C: All right. I better let you guys go because the chat's gone quiet, so I feel like they're probably just disappointed. They're listening to basically a Zoom like a FaceTime call. [00:17:35] Speaker B: Pretty much, yeah. [00:17:36] Speaker A: Pretty much, yeah. [00:17:38] Speaker C: Back to actually. Actually podcasting, but good to see everyone in the chat. Thanks for understanding about the. Your images. They'll all. They'll all get rolled over to next week, but feel free to send more in or whatever. We'll work it out. [00:17:50] Speaker A: Cool. [00:17:50] Speaker C: And yeah, good to see you. [00:17:53] Speaker A: Have a great time. Be safe. [00:17:55] Speaker B: All right, thanks. [00:17:57] Speaker A: See ya. [00:17:57] Speaker B: See us. [00:18:00] Speaker A: All right. [00:18:00] Speaker C: How do I get out of here? [00:18:01] Speaker A: Oh, no, not this guy again. [00:18:04] Speaker B: We'll take him off the stage. There we go. He can figure it out by himself. [00:18:09] Speaker A: He's in our. He's in our green room just floundering. He can still hear us, too. Yeah. Well, that was nice. That was a nice little interlude to get an update on him. I'm glad that they're enjoying it. I. I've never done scuba diving. Have you ever done it? [00:18:25] Speaker B: No, no. [00:18:26] Speaker A: I did snorkeling when I was younger, but, you know, I think most kids in Australia did snorkeling at some point when they were little. It was just part of the beach kit, you know, that you had in the. In the back of the car. [00:18:38] Speaker B: Big difference, though. [00:18:39] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know how I'd go. Does it interest you? Scuba diving? [00:18:45] Speaker B: Yeah, I think it'd be interesting to learn for sure. [00:18:49] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:18:49] Speaker B: I don't know how I'd go, but [00:18:52] Speaker A: I've got a couple of friends who live in Tassie and they go. They go diving a lot and they go overseas to go diving, but on their wedding, I photographed their wedding. This was. Oh, gosh, it was before COVID Anyway, I photographed their wedding, and on the morning of their wedding, Lee, the husband, to be with all of his mates, they went out scuba diving and they brought back crayfish that were then cooked up by a chef. For wedding dinner. [00:19:21] Speaker B: Wow. [00:19:22] Speaker A: How cool is that? [00:19:23] Speaker B: That is cool. That's. [00:19:25] Speaker A: I think it's like the ultimate kind of offering, you know, like I'm going to go out and hunt and gather for my. For my family and. [00:19:30] Speaker B: For the wedding. [00:19:31] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, for the wedding. [00:19:33] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:19:34] Speaker A: So that was pretty cool. It was in Bisho in Tasmania, which is beautiful. Beautiful place. Yeah. All right. I don't know that I could ever do scuba diving. [00:19:44] Speaker B: Not feet on the ground. [00:19:47] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. I don't like sand the best of times, let alone salt water. You know, let's just get that out there. All right, let's. Let's get things back on track. Where were we? We've said hello to some people. Should we talk about a bit of camera news? [00:20:02] Speaker B: Yeah, let's do it. All right. [00:20:08] Speaker A: Well, I do have some stuff happening here and I just want to see if I can get it working. You have to bear with us, folks. I'm sorry. Complete amateurs here. I know that we run on time when. Whenever Justin's not here, but I wouldn't [00:20:26] Speaker B: say whenever because we definitely don't. [00:20:31] Speaker A: But today, today we did just a couple of quick, cheeky social media posts. This one I love because I. I believe this has happened to almost all of us at some point in time. Love how specific the fall was. [00:21:01] Speaker B: Yeah, it's. [00:21:04] Speaker A: Anyway, that was a lame one. Let's get into some lens news. Laowa have announced a whole bunch of new stuff that's coming out. Let me just bring this tab. First up, Lauer's got an AF180 millimeter. This is for APS C180mm 4.5. So that's about a 270. Yeah. On X mount because of the crop. And a 7.5 mil f 2.8. They're both autofocus lenses which previously Laowa haven't really done well, especially not for X mount. So that's great to see that they. I still don't love this new blue color. I don't know what it is. It just. [00:21:48] Speaker B: Yeah, it's a bit. It doesn't looks cheap. Like a cheap. Yeah, I guess they're trying to make [00:21:55] Speaker A: it their own Stanley cup knockoff. That's what the 180 looks like anyway. So. Yeah, so that's coming out. It's the. The wide 7.5 mil is called a CND Dreamer autofocus lens. So that's just been dropped. And also from Lauer there was something else. I think there's a third lens coming. Let me just see if this one's Right. Oh, and there's also an 8 to 15 fisheye zoom on the way, which is bananas when you think about. And it's an autofocus zoom. Yeah. [00:22:38] Speaker B: Is it for the Fuji as well? [00:22:40] Speaker A: I don't think that's for Fuji. I think that's coming to E mount. This was on Sony Alpha Rumors, so they're getting an 8 to 15. They also mentioned. What else have they got? 7.5 mil 2.8 and a 35 2.2 macro with a 1 to 1 ratio. Again autofocus driven. So it's interesting to see that Laowa are now kind of pushing further into, you know, lens mount territories by bringing true competitors with autofocus performance. Be interesting to see what. How they compare. [00:23:17] Speaker B: Yeah. Oh, maybe you have to get your hands on some. Greg. Sorry my chair is so loud. [00:23:22] Speaker A: That's all right. What else is going on? And also from Lauer because they've been busy. There is a micro 4/3 lauer 4.5 to 10 mil fisheye zoom for MFT with a 2.8 aperture. So that's pretty crazy. And it's only 330 grams. Super light. [00:23:55] Speaker B: It's tiny. [00:23:56] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. What else we got in Lens News? We've done that one SG Image, which is another brand that we talked about quickly. Oh no, that page won't load. Oh, here we go. There's another brand we talked about briefly last week. They've started to make a bit of a splash in the lens market. They've announced three new lenses for Fujifilm. There's an 18 mil pancake which is this one here, which is a 2.2, which is actually kind of exciting to get a pancake 18 mil, especially if you like to keep your Fuji kit, you know. Yeah, it would be a good one. I'd give it a shot. Then there's a 3514 which has got a weird kind of. It almost looks like the lens they brought out with the Nikon zf. Was it. Was that the full frame one? The zf? Tim Siamas has got one. And this lens looks a lot like the. The kind of retro version that they styled of a particular lens they made for that camera. And then the third one is 35.2.2. It's a lot more chunky. It's this one on the right here. [00:25:04] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:25:05] Speaker A: So yeah, they're the three lenses from SG Image. Haven't really heard about them anymore. If anyone's heard of SG Images or has had a how to look at any of their lenses, I Kind of feel like this would be a Greg Carrick kind of purchase, to be honest. [00:25:19] Speaker B: Definitely. [00:25:21] Speaker A: Although based on last week's performance, Greg Carrick went straight for first party rather than third when it came to buying lenses for his gfx. So who knows? Who knows. What the man will do is a [00:25:30] Speaker B: wild card gym made for the gfx. You need the good gear. [00:25:34] Speaker A: Yeah. Just announced and then Taipok have also dropped a Voyager 24 to 50 for Sony FE Mount with a constant 2.8. So it's kind of a nice, you know, kit lens option. A full frame kit lens option for your. Sony's cheap too. 600 and what, 20 US what's that, about 14, 000 Australian? [00:26:05] Speaker B: Pretty close to that. Yeah. [00:26:06] Speaker A: Yep. So that's kind of it for the lens news guys. There's a little bit of firmware update news that I saw that if you're a. For any of those folks out there that are a Q3, a Q3 mono or a Q3 43, that's the one with a different lens option, isn't it? Must be. [00:26:27] Speaker B: I have no idea. [00:26:28] Speaker A: I don't know, I can't remember. The Q3, the Q3, the Q343 and the Q3 monochrome have all received yet another firmware update which is going to focus on just fixing some menu options and correcting some faults. Little. Couple of little tweaks to autofocus as well, which is great because we all know Leicas could do with some autofocus tweaks. [00:26:55] Speaker B: Just saying, you can upset some people. I know. [00:26:59] Speaker A: Oh, I didn't bring that up. Sorry guys, I'm talking to an empty screen. So yeah, so there's a firmware update for those of you that are like a shooters. And in other news, Pentax have confirmed that they're actually making a next gen dslr. Not a mirrorless camera, but a dslr. [00:27:22] Speaker B: Interesting. [00:27:23] Speaker A: Yep. And apparently this has been confirmed by someone in the know. I can't read Japanese so I can't. I can't tell you what that says. But this Kimio Tanaka, who I think [00:27:38] Speaker B: is [00:27:40] Speaker A: maybe the CEO anyway, doesn't matter. Pentax are making a dslr which is pretty brave to see that they're still pushing out DSLRs in this day and age. [00:27:50] Speaker B: Absolutely. [00:27:51] Speaker A: And they've never swayed from that, have they? With their, with their kind of flagship photo, you know, professional photographer cameras. So that's pretty cool. Interesting to see what they, how they bring DSLRs into this generation. Wishing them all the best oh dear. Thank you. So, what else we got? So, yeah, Jim, I don't know if you've heard, but there's this rumor going around that Nikon's in trouble. Their financial results came out a couple of days ago. [00:28:23] Speaker B: I didn't know. [00:28:24] Speaker A: Year on year, I think they had some, some, some slumps, didn't do as well. And look, let's face. It's been a pretty tricky 12 months, especially in the American market, you know, with tariffs and all of the stuff going on, impacts to shipping and everything like that. But yeah, and now there's, there's actually a rumor that they, that they're, there's a couple of companies that are interested in buying them. Again, this is all rumors and speculation, but amid the, I don't know if this is purposeful, but amid the, the news that they might be selling, their, their stock prices skyrocketed as a result. I don't understand stocks. I don't know why that would happen. If anyone wants to explain that to me in 10 words or less and that'd be great. But yeah, they, they fell short. By last financial year, they felt they had a financial deficit of 860 billion yen. [00:29:26] Speaker B: Sounds like a lot. Like, I don't know what the exchange rate is, but it just sounds like a lot. Yeah. [00:29:35] Speaker A: Yep, yep. So anyway, so there's a couple of people apparently interested in, in Nikon [00:29:43] Speaker B: and [00:29:43] Speaker A: it is interesting given that they just, would it be like 6 months ago they bought Red. [00:29:49] Speaker B: I wonder what they like paid for that. If that sort of, if that assisted that loss. [00:30:05] Speaker A: Yeah, it would be interesting. Anyway, we'll see what happens there. I imagine that anyone that would, if, if Nikon did sell its company, I, I don't see why they would change much. [00:30:18] Speaker B: No. [00:30:18] Speaker A: You know, maybe they just need to trim operating costs and stuff or maybe they could just make better cameras. You know, that would help with sales. [00:30:26] Speaker B: Obviously just sponsor some photographers that we know. Yeah, be great. [00:30:32] Speaker A: Yep. So that's kind of it for most of the, kind of the general news guys. As we said at the top of the show, you know, we've got, we'll talk about the camera releases coming up soon, but this third party wave of lenses, especially those coming out of China, doesn't seem to be slowing down. And I guess I'm curious to know like people in the chat, if you, if you've always been like a die hard, you know, Fuji, Fujinon lens buyer or you know, Nikkor lens buyer or can or whoever it is, is your camera brand, have you ever considered Going to third party lenses. And if so, what attracts you to them? You know, is it just price or is it they actually are offering some competitive advantage over perhaps first party glass? I'll be really keen to know. So let us know in the chat, should we talk? [00:31:26] Speaker B: So many. Yeah. Tintype Manson. $1 is approximately 100 yen. Did you say 860 billion? [00:31:34] Speaker A: I think that's it, yes. [00:31:36] Speaker B: I thought was in my head I thought that was about 86 million, but maybe my billions to millions. Math is wrong. So if anyone wants to fact check us, that'd be great. [00:31:47] Speaker A: So 860 billion. Still can't work it out. [00:31:51] Speaker B: Is that 86 million or is it 8.6 million? [00:31:55] Speaker A: No, you take off two, don't you take off two zeros off the end. [00:32:00] Speaker B: We're talking billions and millions. Like how many is there? [00:32:02] Speaker A: I don't know. [00:32:04] Speaker B: This is. [00:32:04] Speaker A: Let me ask mine. All right, hang on. Hey, Siri, what's 860 billion yen in Australian dollars? She's not even listening. [00:32:16] Speaker B: All right, [00:32:20] Speaker A: I'll Google it. All right, you google. I have a look at some of the. Some of the messages in the chat. Where were we? We've said hello to a few people. Oh, gosh. There's been lots of activity in the chat. Let me just bring everyone up to speed. Listen to. Goodman has joined us. Good to see you, kiddo. Nev Clark is here. Tweak Productions has joined us. G', day, Tweak. What's Lavina? [00:32:55] Speaker B: Maybe that's where possibly where Justin was. Oh, is that okay? I'm guessing no. [00:33:03] Speaker A: Don't know who else we got. We've got. Phil Thompson's is here. Good evening, everybody. Great to see you, mate. Rodney Nicholson, who is a salty old sea dog, he would know a little bit about scuba diving. He says it takes time and he wants to know whether you've ripped your mask off yet. Hopefully not too often. Oh, here's Lisa Leach again. I was incredibly anxious the first time I did scuba diving. So hard to get your head around breathing underwater. Yeah, I'd never really contemplated that. That you're instinct but kick to the surface. But yeah. Anyway, what else we got? Greg Carrick. Next week is fine. Thanks Greg really have a choice but thank you. [00:33:52] Speaker B: I might have the video. [00:33:53] Speaker A: Oh, he might. Maybe we should jump to that hang. Let me just finish this bit. Everyone's saying, hey, next week is good. Dennis Smith has joined the. Joined the fray. Hey, g' day, Dennis. Great to see you, mate. In and out tonight. Sony A7R6 Meh. Scuba Magic. Have a great night, legends. Thanks, mate. You too. Nev Clark says get out and see the manta race too. I will send in my manta shorts. Shorts, Shots, shots. [00:34:23] Speaker B: Nutty, short [00:34:28] Speaker A: and never's. Also said too many shots in Western Australia. Big ones. And then Rodney Sundays, I did 20 years on shipwrecks. [00:34:38] Speaker B: Wow. It's a long time. [00:34:42] Speaker A: Did you take a camera down with you, Rodney? Did you use an underwater housing? Yeah. Let us know whether you actually recorded those dives. Tweet Productions took my kids open water snorkeling to see CC turtles and traumatized my daughter. But she turned it into a story to tell friends. So times sometimes the bad experiences become the greatest stories. We did see a. Is that a turtle? [00:35:09] Speaker B: Yeah, it is a turtle. [00:35:10] Speaker A: That is the turtle. [00:35:12] Speaker B: All right, how small is your screen? Or is it just your eyes? [00:35:16] Speaker A: Yeah, it's just my. Yeah, it's both. Nev Clark says He's updated the Q3 today, which is great to see, and damn, it's easy. An app that actually works. [00:35:28] Speaker B: Surprising from a camera brand. [00:35:31] Speaker A: Yeah, they rarely get the apps. All right, Phil Thompson says, wonderful news for us Pentax shooters. And so what would you be hoping for, Phil? What would you hope for in the next Pentax DSLR? Let us know. [00:35:49] Speaker B: It's. It's $756,284. [00:35:55] Speaker A: Oh, it doesn't sound Australian dollars when you put it that way. [00:35:58] Speaker B: No. So it's an. [00:35:59] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:35:59] Speaker B: $800,000 loss. Call it. [00:36:04] Speaker A: What's that, like a hundred? [00:36:07] Speaker B: No. [00:36:07] Speaker A: Is it more than that? A thousand Zed Nines. Yeah, Google that too. All right, let's. Let's play Cracker's video. So if this is the video I think it is, which I believe it is. Yes. [00:36:29] Speaker B: So I haven't watched this video, so hopefully it's not. It's all above board and he hasn't stitched us up. [00:36:37] Speaker A: Yeah, baby. So not the weekend just passed, but the one before. On the Saturday, we had the Fujifilm Australia Creator Summit 2026 held in Port Melbourne, here in. In Melbourne, which was great. It was the first time it had been back to Melbourne as the summit. The first year was the year before in Sydney, but they have had past events in Melbourne under a different kind of branding. And I don't know if you guys remember, but we're sitting at a table and there was a bunch of us there, past guests from the show. Greg Carrick was there, Lisa was there. Tim Siamas was there, among others. And Greg was sitting there having a Cup of coffee and Greg said I need you guys to talk me out of something. And of course our reaction was to do whatever, do the opposite. And he said I'm thinking about buying this Fuji GFX lens. You know I always shoot these old lenses and adaptive lenses and we say oh you've earned it. And I gave him my world is on fire by the lens speech which seems to work for most people. And then we marched him over to the Fujifilm house of photography pop up store that they had at the summit where he bought a GFX lens right there and then and they shipped it out to him and I think it arrived the very next, it arrived on the Monday I think or maybe the Tuesday very quickly. And so hopefully this video is of Greg receiving his brand new shiny GFX lens. Do you want to roll the tape? [00:38:04] Speaker B: Yeah, let's get it, get it happening. [00:38:08] Speaker A: Unboxing. 59:35 woohoo. With the lens patch user manual. 20 to 35 on my GFX50R almost as good as the next half. Yeah it's about sort of 2.5x halves in, in quality. That's amazing. [00:38:46] Speaker B: Even edited the video. I was impressive. [00:38:49] Speaker A: Yeah that was very cool, very quick, snappy and I think Greg's already been out doing some astro shots with it which we'll probably get a look at next week but he certainly wasted no time in getting out amongst it and he's been doing some amazing astro work also with that sea star star tracker camera all in one thing which is pretty phenomenal. So yeah, we look forward to seeing some more of your, more of your images with your new lens Greg. And if anyone else needs help being convinced to buy camera gear of any sort, nature or value, you can just shoot me an email and I'll come up with the best excuse that you could possibly give yourself or your financial partner whatever it may be for the, [00:39:35] Speaker B: for the low, low price of 49.99 Grego respond and tell you to buy it. [00:39:40] Speaker A: Yeah, 50 bucks. Yeah, I'll give you a watertight, watertight excuse that you can convince yourself of if not others so you know, worth it. Yeah, happy to help, very happy to help. Well look should we, should we jump to some lens? Sorry some camera body news next. Yeah, let's talk about Sony. So last week after our Monday evening show, what day was that? Monday, Monday it was the 11th. A couple of days after that Sony, which a game is probably one of the worst kept secrets in the industry but Sony launched their. Let me just share this Page. [00:40:21] Speaker B: Sorry, is this what was on the 13th? Yeah, there's lots of things getting launched on the 13th. [00:40:27] Speaker A: Yeah, heaps like this. And I think the Canon also came out at the same time. But we're going to start. Oh my God, I'm so backwards with this monitor setup. Sorry gang. So Sony have dropped their latest entry in the A7. Popular A7 R series. We're up to now model 6 version 6. And I thought maybe we could just have a quick chat about this one. Jim, what you think about some of its specs? [00:40:54] Speaker B: Was that US dollars? [00:40:56] Speaker A: That is US dollars. So let me just give you some dates on it while, while we're having a think about it. So according to Camera House, you can buy the A7 R6 for $6,999. Just a little bit of, you know, loose change. And they've also dropped at the same time they dropped a brand new 100 to 400 gm f 4.5 OSS lens and that's $7,399. So that's. That. That's a huge amount of money. That's crazy. Yeah, seven grand for the, the A7R6. So let's talk about that first. There's been lots of, lots of reviews already. They've been starting to crop up. But look the, the key takeaways from the launch is that it's, it's a brand new 66.8 megapixel, fully stacked full frame CMOS RS sensor. It's got a brand new chip I believe which is the Bion's XR2. It also has a, an AI unit in it that's, that helps to power its power performance somehow. A brand new battery. Often when brands introduce a brand new battery system there's a little bit of moaning amongst the fan base because especially if you've been with the series for a number of generations and batteries aren't cheap, especially not for these sorts of cameras. You know it adds up pretty quick having to replace them. What else has it got? It's got 8k 30p or 24p recording full frame 4k 60p 4k at 120p with a crop it manages to crank out 30fps blackout free continuous shooting with, with autofocus in 14 bit raw. So it's, it's incredible. And the, the, the electronic viewfinder on it, it's something like 9pointsomethingmillion. OLED screen. It's got, which I think is pretty cool, it's got illuminated back buttons. So some of the buttons. Well Actually they have backlighting so you can see in the dark what you're actually doing, which I think is really clever. And I'm sure cameras used to have that years ago. I'm sure there were some cameras that [00:43:19] Speaker B: had my D3 D3s I'm sure used to do that. [00:43:23] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. And it's interesting that it dropped off, especially with the advancement in LED technology. Like it, you know, but great to see that it's back here. It's got a 4 axis multi angle LCD monitor, so it goes every which way that you want it to. It's got a pre capture function which is pretty cool. I never really understood pre capture. But you'll. Your Z8 has that, doesn't it? [00:43:46] Speaker B: I don't use it, but yeah, I think. [00:43:48] Speaker A: How does it work? Does it. Do you like. Does it literally as soon as you get your finger anywhere near the shutter, it detects sensitivity and starts firing or how does it work? [00:43:56] Speaker B: I don't know because I don't. I haven't, haven't used it. So yeah, I've never actually looked into it. [00:44:04] Speaker A: All right, if anyone in the chat knows, let us know. [00:44:07] Speaker B: Explain to us. [00:44:10] Speaker A: 10 bit 422 recording. And the last headline is that it has dual USB C ports so you can power it directly whilst also tethering out of it, which is pretty handy. Yep. But yeah, brand new battery and I think I saw it has up to about 720 shots. I think I read somewhere, amazing audio capabilities. So yeah. Now we heard last week from Philip Johnson who said he rarely does a generational upgrade every year or every time they bring out a new A7R or whatever it may be. He kind of aims for one piece of new camera equipment per year, which I think is sensible. But anyone else. That shot with Sony A7RS, is this something you're. You're keen on stepping up to? It's. It's a pretty significant jump in not just price but also in performance and output. Has anyone been sitting on this, waiting for it to find out whether it is worth it? And if that's the case, is it worth it to you? And what sort of people do you guys think will be hunting down the A7 R6 when. When it finally drops? Speaking of which, I'm just going to see if it says here when it's coming out. I don't know if they've. Let me just have a look at camera house here, see if I've got a date. No, there's no date. No date yet. [00:45:45] Speaker B: Wouldn't be too long, hopefully. [00:45:47] Speaker A: I don't think so. Would you? So, yeah. So that was Sony's big news and obviously also we mentioned earlier. Let me just go back up to it. Still on the same page. Am I still on the same page? The one. The FE 100 to 400. Let's bring that up. Is that working? Yes. So the FE100, 404.5 GM OSS, that's 4300 US. I don't understand quite what's happening with this. This massive amount of the kind of the black rubberized grip. Is that. Is that to improve grip of the lens in general or is that all part of like a focusing system? [00:46:32] Speaker B: Because it's. [00:46:33] Speaker A: It's like it's half the lens is covered in black rubber. [00:46:35] Speaker B: No, with the front. That one looks like it's just the zoom function. [00:46:40] Speaker A: It does. [00:46:40] Speaker B: If you look on. On the. On the camera house site and there's a different angle but that's. That's purely the zoom function. And then the. The back ring would be. The one behind it would be focused and looks like there's a front. A thicker front ring. [00:46:56] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:46:56] Speaker B: I mean, sorry, mid like before the buttons. That's maybe you might be able to do aperture or something. No, the one bullet before that. See that? Yeah, that one. [00:47:06] Speaker A: This one here? [00:47:07] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. It's another ring, isn't it? [00:47:13] Speaker A: Or is that the Zoom? No, the bottom would be the Zoom. [00:47:17] Speaker B: No, the big one's the Zoom. [00:47:18] Speaker A: No, the big one is the Zoom. [00:47:19] Speaker B: You're right. Yeah. [00:47:21] Speaker A: Look, chunky lens. It's even got like a metal. Sorry, language. A metal branding plate. It's just huge. [00:47:30] Speaker B: Seven and a half thousand dollars. [00:47:32] Speaker A: Yeah, I guess. [00:47:33] Speaker B: Don't want that to looks good. [00:47:36] Speaker A: It does look good. So yeah, there you go. Is anyone else, anyone looking at picking up one of them for their kit? So I think the price. What was the price I set that one? 74 70. [00:47:51] Speaker B: Yeah. Australian. [00:47:54] Speaker A: That's a lot. What would an equivalent Nikon be? 100 to 400. [00:48:01] Speaker B: Probably the same if not more. [00:48:03] Speaker A: Yes. [00:48:04] Speaker B: Like it. It doesn't seem outrageously priced at all. [00:48:10] Speaker A: Yeah. Oh but really interesting to see. See that jump especially in the. In the process of the sensor and a new battery. It's a really significant kind of generational change when they bring in a new battery usually, which means it's got, you know, higher, higher drawing feet, higher power drawing features that need. [00:48:33] Speaker B: Interesting to see if the battery lasts though or if it's still struggles. [00:48:40] Speaker A: All right, let's jump onto the next. [00:48:41] Speaker B: I have to win lotto first, but it might be some good prices on the A7R5. [00:48:48] Speaker A: Yeah, well that often happens, doesn't it? People that do upgrade and the fours. Like someone might have been waiting to skip a gen. Yeah, very interesting. Let's talk Canon next. So really interesting this is, I, I think that this is Canon's answer to the Nikon zr. Nikon Z came out a bit of a. Not a flop, but it was a bit quiet, the fanfare around it. But now that more and more people are getting a hang of it, professional videographers are picking it up even just as a second body to mount with their, with their Z lenses. Let me just bring it up here. The EOS R6V is the newest V camera entering the market and it looks pretty boxy and pretty cine camera style. But I don't think they went up with the bigger screen like the, like the Nikon did because the Nikon went up to a 4 inch screen. But so this has stayed with a 3 inch 1.62 million dot, which was an interesting choice given that there isn't, there is no evf. And I know that this is intended as a bit of a videographer's tool and so a lot of videographers will either shoot off the screen or we'll have them, you know, a separate monitor. [00:50:10] Speaker B: Monitor. Yeah. Maybe that's why decided to keep it smaller. [00:50:14] Speaker A: Yeah, maybe. [00:50:15] Speaker B: Probably keeps the footprint of the camera smaller too. Yeah. [00:50:18] Speaker A: I mean it looks neat, doesn't it? It doesn't look, it doesn't look like a typical Canon. [00:50:24] Speaker B: No, it's pretty much Lens Mountain. That's you know. Yeah, a little bit, a little bit out around it is quite a, quite [00:50:30] Speaker A: a deep camera body. So that's from the right hand profile and that's the left hand profile. [00:50:37] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:50:39] Speaker A: So they really made the most of packing everything into such a small frame. There it is from the top down view. So yes, it's boxy, it's quite a deep camera. [00:50:52] Speaker B: It's got a purpose though. [00:50:56] Speaker A: And in terms of performance, it's got the 32.5 megapixel full frame CMOS sensor. It shoots 7K 60 DCI, 4K 120 or 2K 180. It's 7K 30 open gate 3 to 2 raw recording 15 plus stops of dynamic range and it's also Got up to 40 frames per second and pre continuous shoot mode. And that's kind of the bulk of it. So yeah, another videography tool is anyone looking at picking up one of these As a for their next project. I know that Matthew Garberg, Jim, who we met at, at bfop, he was really keen on the previous V camera they brought out. What was that one? [00:51:50] Speaker B: Was that outside of my skill? [00:51:53] Speaker A: Yeah, me too. I can't remember what it was but I reckon he'd be keen on this as well. And now along with that. But wait, there's more in terms of price. Sorry guys. The EOS R6V at Camera House here in Australia, it's actually 3.35.99 and the only at all the Australian stores that I looked at, the only way you can get it is to get the camera with a rode bundle and that's that price which is 50.35.99 but that comes with a rode microphone bundle. You can't buy it any other way without that. Even if you buy the camera with this new lens, which I'll tell you about in a second, it still includes the road bundle. So they've obviously done sort of deal. Can Australia have done some sort of deal to package in that product with road at least here in Australia? I haven't seen that on the B H site in America but they do all sorts of wacky bundles eventually. And the other product that dropped with the new Canon 60V, did I get that right? Yes, I did. Is this new Canon RF 20 to 50. It's an F4 image stabilized power zoom lens which you know, 20 to 50 is a great focal range for vloggers. [00:53:13] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:53:13] Speaker A: Granted it's a pretty high end vlogging kit but there it is. So yeah, [00:53:23] Speaker B: 2200 in Australia. [00:53:26] Speaker A: Yeah, so yeah. So yeah. I wonder if Justin's already bought it yet. I wonder if he's ordered one. [00:53:36] Speaker B: Well, he probably does need a new 50 and it's got a 50 in it so. [00:53:39] Speaker A: Oh, it does, yeah. That will definitely hook him in. [00:53:42] Speaker B: We'll just put a bit of tape over the 20 and he'll be, he'll be hooked. [00:53:45] Speaker A: He won't know. We'll just glue it at 50. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We'll intercept the package and then we'll glue it. So yeah, interesting to see that [00:53:57] Speaker B: you [00:53:57] Speaker A: know, Canon is sort of bringing the challenge back to Nikon with the, the ZR and and now this. And it's, it's interesting because Canon does have dedicated cine cameras but it felt, it feels like they wanted to make this feel like a bit more of a hybrid to meet that same market as the ZR is, is currently looking at. So yeah, time will tell. We'll see how it goes. But you know, do any of these products interest anyone in the chat? Have you heard of people that are keen to pick up either the Sony, the A7, R6 or this new Canon Cine lens, sorry, Canon Cinema camera or Filmmaking camera and either of these new lenses that have been dropped alongside. Certainly interesting time. But wait, there is more, Jim. [00:54:42] Speaker B: There's more. [00:54:43] Speaker A: There's much more. So also last week the good folks at Panasonic dropped a brand new Lumix L10 which on this rumor site they're saying it's a GH7 in a compact form. So let me go to the BH page. Actually that's probably going to be better. So the Lumix L10, a lot of people are saying it's bringing the challenge to Fujifilm with the X100 series. So the X1 hundreds are currently at version 6, rocking the 40 megapixel latest sensor, the latest processor in Ibis. And then Lumix have dropped this one which is a 20.4 megapixel backside illuminated CMOS sensor. It comes with a fixed 24 to 75 full frame equivalent lens which is a Leica. It's actually a leica made lens. 10.9 to 34 mil f 1.7 to 2.8. And what else does it do? It's got a 2.36 million dot OLED viewfinder which is a little by today's standards. It's quite soft in terms of resolution, but a decent rear touchscreen. And it's actually available in three different colors. So there's this black one here that I'm showing you on the screen now. And then there is also a silver and then there is actually one that's kind of like, I think they're calling it like a titanium gold. I'll see if I can find a picture of it because L10, L10 gold. Let's see if they've got it on BH because I don't think it's called gold. Anyway, where did I go? [00:56:37] Speaker B: I don't even think they've got the silver one in. [00:56:40] Speaker A: Oh yeah, they've got the silver, the black one. I'm not sure if it's coming to a particular market, but this silver one gives you a bit of a better view of. Oh, you guys can't see it. Share this into instead. So yeah, it's interesting. It's about the same size as an X100. To me it looks a little bit plastic, but these could be really, these could be like renders over an actual photo of the product does look. [00:57:13] Speaker B: The black one looks more interesting, but yeah, it looks less plasticky. [00:57:22] Speaker A: Yeah. So, yeah, interesting to see another compact with a fixed lens. And it's funny because last week I was looking at rumors for last week's random photography show and I came across an article saying that there's a. There's a first party camera brand out there that's about to bring a Challenger to the X100. And as it turned out, it was this. That it was the Lumix. The other thing you can get, I think this is. I think the gold one is a special edition. I don't know if it's limited, but it does come with a. A fixed. I think you can remove it. But it's like a fitted lens cap that actually has like three panels, three petals that open when you zoom. When you turn on the camera, these petals kind of flick open. [00:58:06] Speaker B: It's called the L10N. A premium content. [00:58:12] Speaker A: Let's see if. [00:58:15] Speaker B: Titanium Gold Edition L10N. [00:58:19] Speaker A: Yeah, no, it's not on here. [00:58:21] Speaker B: It's on the Panasonic.com site. [00:58:24] Speaker A: Okay, let's check that out. You can hear it loud. My keyboard is. Everybody. Justin hates it. All right, here we go. Here. Find out more. Let's see if they've got it on here. No, see, it's not even on. [00:58:51] Speaker B: They're good. I keep going to the bottom. This is where I found it. Kick on a bit more. Somewhere down here it was. [00:59:04] Speaker A: Oh, there we go. [00:59:05] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:59:05] Speaker A: Yep, yep. [00:59:07] Speaker B: And it's dearer too. I think it's 20. 29.99. [00:59:12] Speaker A: Yeah. So the Lumix L10 is a. In a Titanium Gold is a premium compact camera designed to bring your vision to life. Paired with a Leica DC Vario Sumilux lens. Delivers beautifully detailed images with natural depth. Blah, blah, blah. [00:59:27] Speaker B: So it doesn't have the shape. Doesn't have a big Lumix side on the front either. [00:59:34] Speaker A: Can you guys see that one? Yep. [00:59:36] Speaker B: It's a bit more minimal kind of. [00:59:40] Speaker A: Yeah. It's paired back a bit, isn't it? [00:59:43] Speaker B: No branding or anything. [00:59:45] Speaker A: I wonder if the. They don't have any photos of the special lens hood. But see how the, the fixed lens zooms out when the. When the lens hood accessories on it just not hood cap. It kind of pops out and it acts like a bit of a hood and it's these three pedals that shoot out. [01:00:06] Speaker B: Interesting. [01:00:07] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:00:08] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. If go on the back of the page. Scroll down. It's just there. [01:00:11] Speaker A: Oh, here it is. Here. This Thing. So yeah, once that's mounted here, I don't know how it stays on, but it opens up when you zoom. I might be able to see it here. Let's just see what this does. [01:00:31] Speaker B: No. [01:00:33] Speaker A: Oh, no. I've lost my running sheet, Jim. [01:00:36] Speaker B: Oh. [01:00:38] Speaker A: So there you go. That's what's happening with, with, with the cameras at the moment. Let me just bring up my details again for tonight's show. [01:00:45] Speaker B: Oh, you are finished. Other than your other my images. [01:00:49] Speaker A: Wow, that's gone quick. [01:00:51] Speaker B: That has gone quick. [01:00:52] Speaker A: Let's have a quick. Do I have a quick look in the chat. [01:00:57] Speaker B: So tweak, tweak. Production says my husband is a shocker for talking me into expensive purchases. It gives him fodder to buy motorcycles. I resonate with that because I buy camera gear and motorcycles and yeah, they're both expensive, unfortunately. [01:01:15] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:01:16] Speaker B: John Pickett said It was the R50V before too, the predecessor. [01:01:20] Speaker A: Thank you. [01:01:20] Speaker B: The other V camera. [01:01:22] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. [01:01:24] Speaker B: He also. And Greg Carrick says that you're an influenza. [01:01:28] Speaker A: Influenza. [01:01:29] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:01:30] Speaker A: Thanks Greg. [01:01:31] Speaker B: Appreciate it. And Lisa Leeds, I think in response to what she said earlier for where Justin was in North Bali. [01:01:40] Speaker A: Oh, okay. [01:01:43] Speaker B: And Greg Carrick said, brilliant little camera. I think the gold one has to be ordered from Panasonic. [01:01:50] Speaker A: Oh yeah, there we go. [01:01:51] Speaker B: Yeah, it's on their website. So. It looks, looks cool. [01:01:59] Speaker A: Yeah, I think it, look, I think it'd be good. It also, you know, Sony have an update apart from that R1XR Mark III that they dropped last year. Remember the really expensive. Was it like 10 grand or something for their fixed lens camera. No one else is really putting them out from the big players other than fujifilm with the X1 hundreds. So yeah, so it's interesting to see and I, I hope that more brands pick it up. Like I hope it's successful. I hope it, it, it smashes its, its goals and its targets because it will just mean that other brands will look at compacts, compact fixed lens cameras more seriously. [01:02:38] Speaker B: Oh, it's getting cameras in people's hands and that's. Yeah, you know, ultimately that's what we're trying to do. [01:02:45] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely. So, yeah, so it would be good to see what happens with that one. I'm going to try and get my hands on one, give it a review. Got to start making some, some phone calls and asking for some favors. But yeah, I'd love to get one and compare it against, you know, like the X100 and do a proper comparison review and see what comes from that. [01:03:08] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:03:10] Speaker A: Before we jump into I've got a couple of images to show you guys from the last week. We can't. We can't show any of your images but I've managed to work out how to show Min so you know, it's just the way we play it here. But first, Jim, can we just have a little chat about what you've been up to with photography and work in the last sort of week and a [01:03:27] Speaker B: bit it hasn't been too much for me. Had a. A DEB shoot on the weekend. So not. Not shooting sort of studio shots at the Deb. It was the pre photos that they did. We actually went to a unused horse racing stables. [01:03:49] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:03:50] Speaker B: But when I say unused, it's a multi million dollar and when it was built, state of the art facility and it's literally empty. It was mind blowing. There would have been probably 50 stables. It was crazy that this place is just literally sitting there empty. You wouldn't even know it's there. If I showed you on a map, you would be mind blown that a facility of this size is just sitting there. Not far out of Bendigo. [01:04:15] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:04:15] Speaker B: And it's completely empty. [01:04:17] Speaker A: And so what's the story? Why is it. Was it abandoned? Was it a business that went broke or. I don't. [01:04:23] Speaker B: I only sort of know what I got told but I think that it got built. It was getting used for a bit and then sort of slowly people started moving to different training facilities I think as well because it has a slight hill in it that they couldn't. Not being flat, it's not good for the horses. [01:04:41] Speaker A: Okay. [01:04:42] Speaker B: So that you know, the track's not perfectly flat. So. And I think that at the moment just that there's no one that needs that space. So it's. [01:04:53] Speaker A: Wow. [01:04:54] Speaker B: Yeah. Crazy. [01:04:57] Speaker A: And so you could just kind of literally walk in there or did you have to. [01:05:02] Speaker B: So we had access by the people that are renting the one of the smaller stables at this place. [01:05:08] Speaker A: Okay. [01:05:08] Speaker B: On another part of the property and I think that they said it was okay that we could go up there. So. [01:05:13] Speaker A: Cool. [01:05:14] Speaker B: Yeah, we did some dead photos just of a couple and their families. Yep. And then yeah I did a fitness shoot as well last week so. [01:05:24] Speaker A: Yep. [01:05:25] Speaker B: That was. I was here. That's fun. [01:05:28] Speaker A: Nice. And nothing else this week with the boudoir work? [01:05:32] Speaker B: No, no, not this week. [01:05:34] Speaker A: So very cool. Oh, I guess we can't really show the DEB photos next week, can we? [01:05:42] Speaker B: No. [01:05:43] Speaker A: Kind of not yours to show. [01:05:45] Speaker B: No, I can ask. I've got another shoot this week that I can probably show mine. So they're not super exciting. They're just clean. [01:05:57] Speaker A: Just sort of family portraits. [01:05:59] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. Just, you know, taken in nice light and in nice locations. Kind of like junior wedding photos. Junior wedding, but, like, less. Because they're not act. You know, neither. They're not couples or anything like that. So there's. [01:06:13] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:06:14] Speaker B: Less connection and it's more. Just posed. [01:06:18] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:06:19] Speaker B: Shots. [01:06:19] Speaker A: It's harder to get awkward, too. [01:06:22] Speaker B: A little bit. Yeah. Because. [01:06:23] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:06:24] Speaker B: Yeah. Like, they're a bit younger and, you know, like I said, they're not a. They're not a couple or anything. They're just friends. So. [01:06:30] Speaker A: Yeah. Did you do a dead. [01:06:33] Speaker B: I did, yeah. Long time ago. [01:06:35] Speaker A: I'd like to see a photo of that. [01:06:37] Speaker B: Oh, I wouldn't. [01:06:41] Speaker A: I. I did. I. I did three dibs. Really popular. I was. Yeah, I was quite the man. [01:06:47] Speaker B: Wow. [01:06:48] Speaker A: When my sister did. My sister's like four years older than me when she did her deb, which would have been like year 10 or 11, I think. Now you're 11. I think I was the page boy. [01:07:02] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:07:02] Speaker A: And I had my own kind of sky blue with white ruffle tuxedo. And I was only, like, you know, I was tiny. I was like, maybe 10. Yeah, no, I would have been a bit older than that. Maybe 12 almost. And so I had to. I was the first one out with my. The flower girl, my partner. And we did. We started the first dance. Talk about pressure. [01:07:26] Speaker B: Yeah. You did it three times. [01:07:29] Speaker A: And then I did it in year 11 with a partner who was also in year 11. And then when I was in year 12, a friend of mine who was in year 11, she asked me to be a partner again. [01:07:41] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:07:41] Speaker A: So I got to go to three. [01:07:43] Speaker B: It's pretty cool. [01:07:44] Speaker A: It was pretty cool. And then. [01:07:45] Speaker B: Did you wear the same blue ruffled suit? You wear the same blue suit? No. [01:07:50] Speaker A: We'd moved up. We'd moved up to. We'd moved up to black by then. The sky blue wasn't in vogue anymore, apparently. I don't think it ever was. But then this weekend just passed. You know, one of our kids just had her formal. She's in year 12, and she just had her. I think that's more. It wasn't like a partner's deb thing. It was more just a, you know, kind of celebration. [01:08:14] Speaker B: Kind of. [01:08:15] Speaker A: Yeah. Celebration. Year 12 is finishing and, well, not finishing, but, you know, it's the last year. And so they did formal. Didn't want any professional photos. In fact, apparently a lot of the kids just either use this, their phones, or Juno had like this cheap little compact, you know, fixed kind of zoomy lens. Ilford camera. [01:08:33] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:08:34] Speaker A: That we got her last year for a camp. She much preferred the blurry, overexposed images from that than. Than anything I could produce. So I don't know how to take that news, to be honest. I'm still in therapy. We are talking. [01:08:48] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:08:50] Speaker A: But. Yeah. Interesting, interesting. I would like to see some photos of you in a tuxedo. I don't know why that's appealing. It just. It's calling out to me for some reason. [01:09:02] Speaker B: I don't even know if I've got any. I'm sure I've got some somewhere. [01:09:06] Speaker A: Yeah, I bet you do. I bet they're framed above the mantle. [01:09:09] Speaker B: I don't have a mantle. [01:09:11] Speaker A: No. I reckon. I think my mum's still got one of mine up. I think the first one I did somewhere, I think like in the. The kind of the back, what we call it the rumpus room. I think she's got one in a frame there that she wouldn't let me get rid of. Yep, let's. Very quickly. I'm very. I've got a few images to go through so I can bring those up. And I had it. Last week was really busy for me because we had the Fujifilm creator summit on the Saturday that was all day. And then I think it was on the Monday or the Tuesday I went for a street walk with Exy, my friend Exy, and we went around Collingwood, which is a gorgeous place to go and do street photography because there's just so much amazing street art. It's actually quite overwhelming just how much buildings in Collingwood have been graffitied. You know, lots of tagging and all that sort of stuff, but also lots of huge murals. And you can see some people have kind of got ahead of the game with their properties that they've actually, you know, commissioned someone to do a full walled mural so that no one else actually tags it all. Hopefully, you know, there's like a code, I think, of respect amongst street artists. And so we had that. And then on Friday night last week I had an event at Alpaca in Docklands. They were celebrating Melbourne Design Week with an exhibition. So what they did was they had a bunch of people submit entries to an art to the Melbourne Design Week Alpaca event. And the. The theme was called Carry Loud. So Alpaca does backpacks and totes and wallets and, you know, utility, sorry, tech pouches and things like that. And so what they did was they chose nine designers from, from the mob that put in applications. And in Docklands, Alpaca have a number of different facilities. One of them is called Alpaca's Alpaca Labs. And Alpaca Labs is their kind of their, their workshop area. They've got the big industrial sewing machines like the Lucky Straps factory has. They've got all these bolts of cloth and different materials, all these different hardware concepts that they've printed out over the years or had cast. And so they gave these artists access to alpaca materials that they use for their bags as well as their, you know, their, their kit for making bags. And these nine artists had to come up with a carry solution that kind of, you know, bent the idea of a normal bag. And so they put on this, this exhibition was the opening night that I went to. They put on food and you know, they had. All the alpaca staff were there and they had a couple of other special guests and all the artists showed up for the opening night. And yeah, I just got to hang out. They invited me to come along. So I took a bunch of photos and I got to hang out with the team from Alpaca and yeah, it's really great. And what really struck me was just how much effort the brand alpaca had gone to to support these guys. So like I've told you about Alpaca Labs, next door to Alpaca Labs is another shop front at Docklands that they call Alpaca Academy. And that was where they often do photo shoots for products and other events. And they turn that whole space into like a, like a gallery exhibit and put each of these nine pieces up on display and, and invited people in to come and have a look. So some of the photos I'm going to show you guys tonight are from that event. Others are just from street walks. But maybe I should just stop talking and let the. [01:12:52] Speaker B: Yes. Have a look at photos. [01:12:54] Speaker A: Do the talk. [01:12:55] Speaker B: As Greg said about 10 minutes ago, Bring on the images. [01:12:59] Speaker A: Yeah, sorry, crackers. Takes me a while to get to the point. Oh, okay. So this was when I was going to do my Collingwood walk. This is just my local train station and just some street style shots from the day. Yeah, I was pretty happy with this one. And so many Vespa and scooter places in Collingwood. [01:13:32] Speaker B: Really? [01:13:33] Speaker A: Yeah, like that's excited with proper mechanics, fixing, you know, old school vespers and stuff. Content. [01:13:42] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. It's a hipster crowd or your mates? [01:13:48] Speaker A: All my mates. And then this is the Alpaca event. Carrying Loud volume two. So they did it last year. This year's the new one. And I think I've got. This is the alpaca. This is actually Academy. The labs is, is next door. But these are some of the display pieces that they put up. This one was my favorite. This was a shark bag that they made using alpaca materials. [01:14:17] Speaker B: That's cool. [01:14:19] Speaker A: It was really cool. And you zip. I think it's either the top or underneath it because of the shape of it. It holds a bottle of champagne perfectly. Yeah. So it had like this hidden zipper underneath it and. Yeah, and you put your bottle of champagne in it and it's even got like loops for a, for a shoulder strap and stuff. [01:14:39] Speaker B: Rodney Nicholson's asked, does anyone ever have a crack at you for pointing the camera? [01:14:46] Speaker A: Yeah, that's happened a couple of times. I've spoken to it before. Was it last year? Had a couple of run ins pretty much on the same day with two guys in my local area. The first guy was. Appeared really heavily affected by the drugs or alcohol or combination. It was very early in the morning and he, he was on the other side of the road to me and I was just wandering along and I looked, I glanced over because he was making quite a noise and he was. Movements were quite erratic and a girl who was a young woman who was obviously on her way to work, he started talking at her and then he started throwing things at like picking up rocks and throwing them at her. And then he started to move after her. And I called out to him because what else was I supposed to do? Just watch it happen. So I just caught her. Hey. And I was on the other side of the road and there was. It was peak hour, early morning here, four lanes of traffic. And he turned and looked at me and locked on and just marched straight across that road without looking. And all these cars had to screech and stop and he, he came straight up to me. He was, like I said, he was quite heavily affected by something and very erratic in his behavior. And I, I just spent the time talking him down and kind of reassuring him that I wasn't a threat and, you know, that sort of thing. It was quite scary though. And then I can't remember if, if it was later the same day I was doing some. Or maybe on that same walk anyway, I was. I'd sort of squatted down a bit low next to a power pole to get a sort of a, an upper angle on a shot, like you know, facing the camera up a little bit. And this Guy walked straight up to me. He was crossing the road. He wasn't the center of my attention, the subject necessarily, but he walked straight up to me and I had to stand up because he was like right in my face. And he started undoing his. He undid his belt and pulled down his pants and said, you want to take a photo of my dick? And that was quite confronting, obviously, you know, and this. And it was morning because there was, there was a couple of people around me with like women with kids in prams and primary school kids walking to school. And this guy's just walked up, up to me in the middle of Chapel street and dropped his dax and had a go at me for taking photos. You know, people are strange. Very strange. Yeah. I mean we, we get a lot of, we get a lot of strange in this area. You know, we're in a city. There's a real clash between, you know, the haves and the haves, not the have nots. In this area, unfortunately, there's quite a diverse class structure and you know, we have some of Melbourne's most in need people living in this area and some of Melbourne's most wealthiest people living in this area. So you get it all. And yeah, sometimes you get in the firing line. Most of the time it's fine. You know, I kind of know how to keep my safe, myself safe. But every now and then someone kind of speaks me a bit and it puts me off for a little bit and I question whether I should be doing this still. And you know, but then the light, the light calls to me and I can't help it, I have to go out. So. So yeah, anyway, alpaca. So this is, you know, just a couple of vases that someone made with some of the alpaca materials and, and that's kind of the theme. And there's the shark one again. Is that better? Yeah, you can see it better there. So. [01:18:09] Speaker B: Yeah, it's cool. [01:18:10] Speaker A: It was a really cool looking bag. This one was a tinny holder. So this, you could hold it folded out and those rings click, clip nicely over six pack of cans. So like in the old days when you used to get the, you know the little plastic six pack rings. [01:18:28] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:18:28] Speaker A: And they stopped them because they were killing all the sea life. That's basically replicating that and they've turned into a keychain that can fold flat and it's got magnets, it keeps it shut. [01:18:39] Speaker B: They've got new ones now, they're just hard plastic. [01:18:41] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:18:42] Speaker B: And they're reusable. So Handy. [01:18:47] Speaker A: And that's Jason Lau. We've had Jason on the show a couple of times, both as a guest and as a co host. He joined us a little while ago. I think we talked about film photography or something. Anyway, so Jason was there. Jason has been doing a lot of work with Alpaca too. He. He did all the portrait photos for each of the nine artists at the Fujifilm Summit. He was Alpaca's kind of brand ambassador doing a talk about photography. So, yeah, so he's doing great work with. With the alpaca mob as well. And just some more product shots and. And then this was. I think this was like one of the last photos I took. Stepped out of Docklands is this beautiful building there. It looks like a really. Well that you can see it. And I shot this handheld on my x e5 for a quarter of a second to get motion blur in the people, but get the building, you know, tack sharp. I was pretty happy with that outcome. [01:19:44] Speaker B: Yeah, I couldn't do that. [01:19:46] Speaker A: There's bananas. I mean it's obviously it's a lot smaller and lightweight than maybe like a Z8, but even still I was pretty impressed with it. [01:19:55] Speaker B: Yeah, nice work. [01:19:56] Speaker A: Yeah. And there's just a final little street shot from Monday last week. [01:20:03] Speaker B: Very good. [01:20:04] Speaker A: So that's kind of. How do I stop that there? That's. That's kind of been my week of photography. Lots of events, lots of talking to people about our craft and yeah, it's been. It was a really great week. A really great week. I'm paying for it a little bit this week in terms of feeling sore [01:20:24] Speaker B: and you know, just being on your feet so much. [01:20:27] Speaker A: Yeah, just my, my next strain. I've got to be even still. I've just got to be super careful of how much I carry, you know. So. Yeah, just working through that. But. So this week will be a bit of a quieter week and hopefully towards the end of the week I'll head out again and get back into it. So. [01:20:44] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:20:46] Speaker A: What about you? What. What have you got coming up in the. In the photography world? [01:20:52] Speaker B: Not a lot. I was supposed to have a shoot day on Wednesday but I've postponed it. So I've just been. Got some editing to do. Got a shoot out of school on Thursday and then what have we got Friday? Another photos, so. [01:21:10] Speaker A: Oh, wow. [01:21:11] Speaker B: Yeah, that's cool. [01:21:12] Speaker A: How did you pick up that work to you or. [01:21:17] Speaker B: Yeah, so one of the local wedding dress come like manufacturers in Bendigo. It's. I did one of their daughters a couple years Ago. And then this is their other daughter and the. Who was the first girl's daughter's partner back then. His sister's now getting married. So that was the couple last week and then another one this week, so. [01:21:44] Speaker A: Cool. [01:21:44] Speaker B: Yeah. Just knowing people, I guess. [01:21:48] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:21:49] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:21:49] Speaker A: It makes all the difference, doesn't it? [01:21:52] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:21:52] Speaker A: Do you think word of mouth is still one of your best marketing tools? [01:21:56] Speaker B: I think so. I. Yeah. And just posting your work, I don't. And that's probably something I need to start doing more of. Just putting more work up. [01:22:08] Speaker A: Yeah, fair enough. Nice. I've run out of things to talk about. [01:22:17] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:22:18] Speaker A: Have you? [01:22:19] Speaker B: Feels a bit like that, doesn't it? [01:22:20] Speaker A: Anything else you want to share with the. With the people? [01:22:23] Speaker B: No. Well, some good news. I've got my. I dropped a lens off to. I'm gonna forget their name imaging by Design the other week and it's all fixed and back. [01:22:37] Speaker A: Nice. Did they say what caused it? [01:22:40] Speaker B: No, it was just. It was just a loose barrel or something. Yeah, it was a very, you know, easy and cheap fix by the sound of it. So it got a clean and it's all looking like it should, so. [01:22:55] Speaker A: Yeah, that's cool. [01:22:57] Speaker B: Super fast. [01:22:58] Speaker A: I was in there again on when I was in Collingwood with Xe. We went in because he has a large format, sorry, medium format, old Fuji film camera. Can't remember what it is, but it's got like a folding. The lens folds in and then when you open it, it's got like bellows that open up. They kind of open up like this. And I. We went in there because we were in the neighborhood and I said, I'll bring the camera and he can tell you what's wrong with it maybe and work out, you know, how to get it fixed. And. And Wayne was there, Wayne Rogers, who joined us on the podcast a few weeks ago, and he came out and spoke to XC in a language I've never heard anyone speak. He. He. His knowledge is just bananas. Like he knew the names of the different lubricants that they. Dry lubricants they put in these cameras when they manufacture them and why they failed and why that. You know, now that there's this and that in these cameras in particular is this little switch under there that gets stuck. Like he just knew everything. It was just bananas to watch him. Like he must have seen so many different cameras, but he knew exactly what to do with this one to fix it. [01:24:02] Speaker B: Maybe I didn't take my film camera in there. [01:24:05] Speaker A: Maybe. [01:24:05] Speaker B: Yeah, maybe get that going. [01:24:08] Speaker A: But you Might have to wait a few weeks because they did say they've got a couple of people away on leave and they said to x you maybe come back in a month with it. Unless it's urgent. They'll do it obviously. [01:24:16] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:24:16] Speaker A: But if you can wait, it's best to wait otherwise it's just going to sit in a tray waiting to be fixed in, you know, weeks time. So. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But yeah, impressive as always talking to Wayne and you know, it was funny, he walked out and he had these glasses on and his white lab coat and he looked like such a nerd. I love it. It was so good. He was the ultimate camera nerd. [01:24:38] Speaker B: Yeah. The dream. [01:24:40] Speaker A: That's cool. It was very cool. All right, well I think that might be a good place to, to tie a bow in this, in this episode. What do you say, Jim? [01:24:50] Speaker B: Yeah, I think so. [01:24:51] Speaker A: Yeah. Well maybe. [01:24:54] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:24:54] Speaker A: We will be back on Thursday. Who have I got on Thursday? I have, on Thursday we have Michael Jellaru Torres who is a First nations photographer. He's, he also started an organization called Black Lens which supports other first nations photographers.
